By spring you'll be good and bonded with them. Another nice thing about Birks is they are easily repaired - there are some good reputable shops online - restoring them virtually brand new for a fraction of the cost of new shoes. I prefer the Milano over all other Birk models. The clogs irritate my Morton's toe and Arizonas don't have enough support. The back strap keeps these shoes firmly in place, making them appropriate for a number of activities, not the least being walking for which they are excellent.
