Capezio Cuban heel - lower heel works - I purchased this shoe after buying the same shoe with the higher heel (2 1/4). I needed a lower and thicker heel, particularly for practice. This is a well made shoe and I would recommend. I have issues with all heels and straps tend to irritate my feet, HOWEVER I don't blame that on the shoe, it happens to me with most of my shoes. If you need a good supportive shoe to dance salsa or other ballroom where you do a lot of turns, this is worth the investment.
