Broken nubs - I bought a pair of these sandals about 10 years ago and they lasted me forever with no problems at all. They started to fall apart so I bought a new pair. After about three months of owning them and wearing them 4 days a week for about an hour a day, a nub or two broke off. This started a domino effect which caused almost a quarter of the nubs to fall off of one sandal, and a decent amount fall off the other! They must have switched to a lower quality molding because my friend is having the same problem. Too bad because they are comfortable!!
