After recent surgery on my toe, these shoes were perfect for me. Although the top band went across the incision, there was absolutely no pain! The shoes are soft and pliable where they need to be and are adjustable across the top of the instep. I am still suffering from swelling left from the surgery and I wear these shoes everyday, still!
